Mike Grisdale welcomed Gerhardt Thiart to the Cheboygan studios for an interview. He is the first from South Africa to compete in the Iditarod. He and his wife have been living in the Cheboygan County area the last 12 years and are preparing to go back to Alaska this fall to get ready for the 2023 event.
