The CMU Homecoming 5K Run/Walk has been a tradition for over 35 years! This run/walk starts Homecoming morning off right with a 5K Run or Walk that begins at historic Finch Fieldhouse and travels throughout the beautiful campus of Central Michigan University. Relive your CMU memories or make new ones when you join over 400 participants all helping to support children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Smithsonian Museum on Main Street SPARK! Places of Innovation explores the unique combination of places, people, and circumstances that sparks innovation and invention in rural communities. Inspired by an exhibition at the National Museum of American History, this traveling exhibition features stories gathered from diverse communities across the nation. Photographs, engaging interactives, objects, videos, and augmented reality bring a multilayered experience to reveal the leaders, challenges, successes, and future of innovation in each town. In addition to the Smithsonian exhibits, Spark! will be the springboard for diverse local programming in the humanities, sciences, and arts. The Crawl For The Cure Pub Crawl Bingo is returning to Boyne City even bigger and better this year. This year’s event will be on Saturday, October 14. Registration and shirt pick up will begin at 4:00pm, at the American Legion.The Crawl For The Cure is a Pub Crawl with a bingo and scavenger hunt twist. At registration, each participant will be given a bingo board, and will then begin to crawl at their own pace. The squares of the bingo board contain items to either find or complete at each of our participating establishments.At 9pm we will all meet back at the American Legion and everyone’s bingo boards will be tallied. For each completed bingo, participants will receive an entry into a door prize drawing. There will be many great door prizes available. We are happy to announce all the participating establishments from last year will be returning. Thank you to Stigg’s Brewing, Boyne City Eagles, Boyne City Tap Room, Cafe Santé, Provisions Lounge, Lake Street Pub, Muskrat Distilling, and Red Mesa.
